Travel Teams
Travel Teams are teams with more focused and regular practices who enjoy an enhanced team atmosphere and who test their skill development through game play against other youth hockey organizations. CUYHA is a member of the Central Illinois Hockey League (CIHL) with league play among other Central Illinois based teams, which are typically: Bloomington, Champaign, Decatur, Springfield, Pekin, Peoria, Quad Cities. CUYHA’s High School Team is a member of the Lincoln Land Hockey Association (LLHL).
Approximately 50% of all travel games are League play, and 50% are scheduled by individual team managers to give skaters exposure to teams from other regions and tournament play.
