CUYHA Offers Minor Hawks Again in 2010-2011 Season!
Due to overwhelming success, CUYHA will again be offering the Chicago Blackhawks’ endorsed Minor Hawks program during the 2010-2011 season!
- Program Overview: Boys and girls age 4-8 with any (or no) hockey or skating background
- Program focused on skating & hockey fundamentals
- $75 per session (three expected to be offered – Fall – Winter – Spring)
- All equipment provided ON LOAN at NO COST
- Each session includes 8, 1 hour practices - dates TBD, but expected to meet Wednesdays from 6-7 pm at U of I Ice Arena, others as required
- Registration Opens ONLINE on this website after dates have been set for the upcoming session – expected to be after August 9th.
- Equipment distribution to be announced
- All skaters must FIRST register with USA Hockey. Skaters 6 & under are free, 7-8 year olds will pay a moderate fee.
Fall 2010 session will begin mid October, dates to be announced on line after August 9.

Travel Teams Registration: Join us at the rink for registration and the first of CUYHA’s FREE Mini-Camps to get back on the ice.
For this season, CUYHA is pleased to announced that in spite of increasing ice fees, we were able to keep skater fees at the same cost as last season. Fundraising efforts last year played a big role in our ability to keep skater fees level for this season.
- August 31st, 6-8pm at U of I Ice Arena
- Fees:
- Mites-Bantams: $1,075
- High School: $1,175
- Jerseys – travel and away are required: New $156, with skater number and name plate
- Payments can be made in full, by ACH or credit card.
- Forms to be completed for each skater include: (These can be printed from the website and completed in advance OR completed on site at Registration)
- Players must bring the following to Registration:
- 2010-2011 USA Hockey Registration Confirmation Email
- Birth Certificate (if a new travel skater)
- Other:
- New jerseys are ordered at Registration
- First orders of Chief’s apparel can be ordered
- Fundraising Raffle tickets can be picked up
- You may also register for House League at this time, or you can wait until the House League Registration on Sept 29th.
If you are unable to attend Registration, please contact Tom Grady with your plans to complete Registration process. If you are not sure if you will be able to play with the team, and prefer to wait until after the Evaluation process, please indicate that to Tom Grady as well.
House League Registration
House league registration dates and fees will be finalized in mid August, but if you are registering a Travel skater, you can also register your House League player at that time. Minor Hawks interested in transitioning to House League should consider attending the Mini Camps as well.
